My Best Laptop Yet, The Apple MacBook Pro M3

Earlier this year (2024), I was issued a new Apple Macbook Pro M3 laptop. It was a replacement for my MacBook Pro 2019 (acquired 2020). The old laptop was the last MBP with Intel processor, I think. I was a quad core i7 with Iris Plus builtin Graphics. It was performing ok. I have no major issues. I mostly spend my time in the terminal anyway. The only thing that made me realize that I needed a new machine was that when I transferred to another team and is doing a lot application development than before when I was doing mostly devops and infra tooling support.

Zola Automated Deploy To Digitalocean

I wrote a few scripts to automate deploying Zola to Digitalocean VPS. I have an existing account with Digitalocean so I just went with them. This assumes you have already configured your domain to use Digialocean's nameservers as it will be needed when we register and obtain our SSL certificate from Lets Encrypt. Although, we will only provision our server once, I decided to just complete the flow from provisioning and deploying of our Zola blog.

Bash Script To Generate Zola Page

I've been tinkering with Zola the past few days. Learning how templating and theme-ing works. Also, I was curious how pages and sections behave. I started with very little expectations and was about to just go with the default setup, but something inside me tells me that I need to do what I think works best with how I intent to write a post in Zola.

Mise vs Homebrew

I use both Mise and Homebrew in my daily professional and personal work. There are some overlap between the two. I used to just use Homebrew for everything until I encounter incompatible tool versions from ever growing simultaneous number of projects I'm working concurrently.

Hello

Hello there! Just found out about Zola. It inspired me to maybe write something, sometimes. I don't really have much to write about my life at this point but I'll try to gather my thoughts once in a while. I could make this space a repository of what was happening in my life at its current moment.
